English: To eliminate risk to citizens, Namma Tuticorin does not accept, upload, or store digital photographs or scans of Government ID cards (such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, Ration Card, or Driving Licence). When booking an appointment to meet the MLA, citizens only declare the ID type and the last 4 digits. Identity verification is conducted purely in-person at the constituency office by matching your physical card.

English: When you vote on local assembly polls or support community nominations (“Pearls of Tuticorin”), your mobile number is verified via a 6-digit one-time passcode (OTP). The mobile number itself is never stored in plaintext in our voting tables. Instead, it is transformed using a secure salted cryptographic hash (SHA-256 with an isolated salt) solely to enforce the “one-citizen, one-voice” rule. It is mathematically impossible to reconstruct your mobile number from the hash.

English: Public grievances (civic issues like streetlights, roads, drainage) and flood alerts can be filed completely anonymously without providing any name or contact number. If you choose to provide a mobile number for grievance updates, it is used strictly to send SMS/WhatsApp notifications regarding status progression from the MLA office and responsible municipal departments.

English: Only authorized secretariat staff with individual authenticated accounts can view constituent appointment lists or manage grievance resolutions. Every staff access, status modification, and administrative action is cryptographically logged in an immutable audit ledger with timestamps, staff identity, and IP records.
