TASMAC liquor outlets are run by the state government — an MLA cannot close them directly. What the office can do, and is doing, is press for outlets sited too close to schools, the Our Lady of Snows Basilica precinct and residential streets to be relocated, push for distance-norm checks, and carry residents' petitions to the government.
